… the General Assembly of the European Justitia et Pax Conference decided in 2007 to publish a common declaration on the issue of poverty and world trade. Its documentation is enclosed. Secondly the commissions decided to organize a joint art exhibition on the topic. The exhibition which forms the starting point for this catalogue shall serve to shed some light on the matter of poverty, to show new perspectives and encourage discussion. With this publication we express our hope that sharing perspectives can contribute to overcoming the violent reality of poverty.
