Na een oproep tot ‘bekering’, neemt de auteur zijn lezer mee op een ‘reis naar Pasen’, een reis met perspectief… ‘Vasten’ is dan ook geen negatieve houding: de sfeer die bij deze tijd van het jaar hoort is er een van ‘lichtende droefheid’, beleefd als een diepe werkelijkheid, niet als een paradox.
